Online Panel Discussion by Young Overseas Researchers (tentative title)
The corona disaster, which started in 2020, has had a great impact on the research activities of our society's members in Japan and abroad. Last year, the Congress of the Japanese Society for Comparative Physiology and Biochemistry was held onsite, but this year it will be held online. In recent years, online conferences have become common in many fields, but we often hear people say, "Online is not enough...". However, we believe that the online event is a unique opportunity to interact with overseas members who usually have to return to Japan to participate. In this social event, young members (mainly postdoctoral fellows) who are active overseas will take the stage for a panel discussion on several topics. This event, which is possible only because it is online, will allow young researchers from different backgrounds to talk about various topics, and we hope that members from Japan and abroad will actively interact with each other. (Discussion topic is in preparation… Trends in comparative physiological and biochemical research overseas, Research life at the corona disaster, etc.)
